X-Loupe won a gold award in 2006 Nuremberg International Invention Exhibition
TAIWAN INVENTORS CAPTURE RECORD 35 HONORS AT GERMAN EXHIBITION

Berlin, Nov. 5 (CNA) Taiwan inventors walked away with 35 awards from the 2006 Nuremberg International Invention Exhibition on Sunday.
Some 700 works by inventors representing 32 countries were entered in the annual event this year, which took place in Nuremberg, Germany, Nov. 2-5. The Taiwan delegation was headed by Kao Fa-yu, former president and founder of the Taiwan Prominent Inventors Association.
The Taiwan delegation submitted 36 works and captured 34 awards, comprising 14 gold, five silver and 15 bronze medals -- a record for Taiwan inventors in the Nuremberg exhibition.
Far East University in Tainan, southern Taiwan, which is noted for its ability to roll out new inventions, won a special award from organizers.
Inventions submitted by members of the Taiwan delegation included a stove that uses nitrogen as fuel and a vehicle auto-brake system for anti-retrogression.
In the exhibition, digital portable field microscope X-Loupe captured high attention and won a gold award. X-Loupe is developed by ITRC (Instrument Technology Research Center) and Lumos Technology Corp.
